My name is Volkan, and photography is something that I am passionate about.
I’m a professional photographer based in Somerset. VolkanKan.com started out as my personal website, but eventually became my commercial website which contains a wide range of photos from different subjects. My other website is www.volkan.co.uk which mainly contains my wedding photography work.

My interest in this wonderful medium started when I was very young with my father's Lubitel camera in the late 70’s and I am still as (if not more) interested and excited about it.

My speciality IS photography. I love the creative opportunities photography presents; I approach every project with enthusiasm and professionalism, applying creative and flawless technique under any conditions to capture the perfect image.

I have a degree in engineering and worked in the IT industry for some years. I pursued photography as a parallel career and at the beginning of 2000 became a freelance photographer.
